因果関係？
中国でがん患者が急増している。衛生省が発表した統計によると、昨年の中国人
の死亡原因で、がんが初めて脳血管疾病をこえて１位となった。
都市部での死亡原因はがんが２７．３％、農村でも２５．１％と全体の４分の１以上。
背景には深刻な環境汚染などが指摘されている。
衛生省によると、２００５年には中国全土で７６０万人ががんで死亡した。
これは世界のがん死亡者数の１３％に相当する。
中国医学科学院腫瘍研究所の陳智周研究員はがんの急増の３大原因として
（１）空気、水などの環境汚染、特に地下水汚染
（２）食品汚染
（３）細菌・ウイルスの増加
を指摘。
